Feeling like it's been way too long since I've updated our so-called family blog...

Time for fun and relaxation...just the adults headed to south Florida for a great time with friends and headed via boat to Key West.  What a treat!  Celebrating 13 years of marriage (4 months belated) to my very best friend! 

The Denver Zoo on a day off of school  It was Ian's first time of remembering the zoo and he was so excited about the animals.  

He's still telling me about it everyday... "I saw a elephant, a giraffe, a zebra. we go on twain (train)  and cawasal (carousal) .  i wide (ride) wif (with) Kaatje." followed by a very big smile!

Had the oldschool mini cereal boxes cut open to make a bowl w/ milk for breakfast at the oasis in Chicago.

Hey, why not watch and movie and eat Cheetos at 7:30am...it's a road trip!

In anticipation of our two day road trip home to Colorado in a week, mom and I warmed up for it in a drive from Kalamazoo to Holland (supposed to take 1 hr 15 minutes). After leaving Grandpa's @ 2:45pm. 2 min. STOP - Starbucks 45 min. 8 min. STOP - emergency bathroom break at port-o-potty 10 min. 15 min.STOP - gas light on...gas station 25 min. 30 min. STOP - 2nd Emergency bathroom break @ Goodwill store...oh, what the heck, let's all go in and look for a deal.:) and do a diaper change. 15 min. Home sweet Grammy's house! Total time: 2 1/2 hours Just a glimpse ahead to the humor we'll need driving next week! :)
